Wondered if our article on Regulation of the Letting Industry in Scotland might be of interest? ow.ly/po1qp
Letting agents may or may not need regulation, I do not know for I have no experience of renting. I do have considerable experience of letting (my own property) and know that tenants need regulating.
David. Yes I agree, tenants need regulating . There is nothing to keep them in line.
I am (so far) OK. I have only had 4 bad experiences over the years. One which cost me £5000 +
Watching your property get damaged without any protection in law is disheartening.
I think that’s what swayed me towards HMO. One person in a room can do less damage. I don’t have students. One painted everything black and purple, and I mean everything!
big news @LandlordRef check #RICSresi to debate lettings reg at @RICSScotland resi conference http://www.rics.org/uk/trainin…../dunblane/
