Are there many landlords and letting agent LRS members in Northern Ireland?
And how many landlords who are in England/Wales/Scotland have property that they rent out in N.I?

Regards

Adela.

Hi Adela,

Firstly thank you for joining LRS and posting on our forums. I have a simple philosophy that the more that join the safer we all become and the more that post the more awareness we create on the internet.

We do have many members in Northern Ireland but I must say not as many as I would wish so we welcome you as an ambassador and hope you will help us promote LRS  to our fellow Irish Landlords & Letting Agents.

We are trying to get both the councils and Police to embrace LRS and we hope to be able to show them the worth of LRS to stop anti-social behaviour. It stands to reason that within a generation 50% of the population of the UK will be renting property and therefore Landlords & Letting Agents will truly become the gate keepers to our communities. If we can get more to join then not only will we stop bad tenants simply moving around and creating havoc within our communities but we will send a clear message out that if they rip one of us off then they rip all of us off and will not get a home with any of us.

Hi Paul, thank you for the warm welcome Smile

I’m looking forward to getting stuck into your forums, there are so many interesting topics to read!

Since joining last night I’ve already told a few landlords and agents in my area about the website, as anything that can prevent anti-social behaviour is worth its weight in gold to us over here.

Just making other landlords be aware that some foreign tenants are coming to view houses with pregnant ‘girlfriend’ who they have just paid in order to come with them to get the house!

This happened me and the man was then sub letting my house to another foreigner and getting paid… all whilst he was not paying me anything

Hes away now but still owes me money don’t know how to go about this as im not an experienced landlord .. so mad
