I’ve just accidentally become a landlord (through the passing of a family member) & so joined your website.
I notice you do a lot of free documents and just wondered if you have any advice for new landlords entering this metaphorical minefield of property??

It would be brilliant to network closely with landlords in my area, so any landlords in the Kent area please say hello!

Hi Helen,
Firstly thanks for joining us you are now networking with 1000’s of Landlords and Agents so hopefully the first thing we can do to help you is to get you started with a few essentials and stop you taking another members disaster tenant.
Check out our tenant protocol (found in the Members Area menu bar) - read it and make sure you follow it as close as possible.

You will also see the link buttons across the top icon bar which will give you document templates which you can adapt and use free.
Now you are a member you can register for Experian and carry out your credit and ID references on the site & don’t forget to do your network referencing separately to get a tenants last landlord.
And you can do your rent guarantee or other landlord insurances on the site as well.
If you need any services locally you can go to the business directory, we are still adding to it but it is made up of members that look after one another so you may find the service you need.
If that all still confuses you call me on 01934 – 645 237 and I will help you with any problems.
And join Property Tribes too, it will keep you in the loop. ( http://propertytribes.ning.com )
Kind Regards
Paul
