........ to think about

I came across these the other day, which I thought were thought provoking and wanted to share. Although not 100% property related I think they have some relevance.

"Some people are so poor the only thing they have is money"

"Always use a moral compass on your journey through life"

Really!!!??

I think you'll find that irrespective of any moral compass you may have it isn't much use when others have a non-existent one

Consequently you will end up POOR with no money!!

The originator of this quote was not talking about my tenants! Smile

I had a moral compass when I first started letting but over the years first the tenants and latterly the government edited out this compass from my character, culminating with the final deletion, section 24 possibly the largest bit or self delusion that any government has ever promulgated (Okay I admit that Tony Blair as an individual self deluded on WMD).

It is the tenants who are suffering, with no Moral Compass I am free to increase rents until the pips squeak and then a little more.  I no longer care if I make my tenants homeless, they become the local authority's problem.  I am still a good landlord in that I supply well maintained properties but now I spare no quarter.
