A REDDIT user has claimed that his landlord has barred him from being able to flush his toilet.

In the thread, a Melbourne based tenant has claimed his landlord installed a dollar coin-operated flush on his loo!

Surely this can't be true?! Yell

The outrage around this story is laughable.

Number 1: This landlords actions are highly illegal - any tenant in their right mind would understand that, without having to ask surely?

Number 2: No-one questions our wonderful government for imposing charges on public toilets - Shouldn't our council tax cover this, just like this tenants rent covers him for the luxury of flushing his toilet ? ? ?

As Paul R. says; 'JUST SAYING' ! Cool

Wouldn't affect one of my tenants.  She calls every three months to say her toilet is blocked, full to the brim because she will not flush.  I would say she is a sandwich short of a picnic but the (processed) sandwich is in the toilet!

Could you not install an automate flush system!?

Intriguing idea Paul.  I will certainly consider it.

EIt should be easy as they have this system for male urinals

Something in the cistern triggers auto flushing

However I don't know about you but my visits to the the library involve more than one flush per visit!

Imagine an auto flush which gets blocked by the previously unflushed contents

All over the floor etc

At least if not flushed it can be unblocked without itbbeing all over the floor.

Perhaps you could offer her some small flushing financial incentive every month she doesn't call you out!
