Bad Tenant alert Worthing, west sussex

Property left stinking of cigarettes....despite being a non smoking lease.

Cigarette burns in carpet.

Nicotine stained walls and paintwork.

Grime and filth in places that are not immediately visible.

All in all, these tenants left the place far from being in a similar condition as when they moved in...(not counting 'wear and tear')

If you've taken on new tenants recently, I do hope that it's not this couple!!!

The 'lady' ? tenant of the above couple has now taken to phoning us late at night, screaming abuse down the phone.

Is there any other site that I can post a similar warning on for other landlords?

Hi Brenda,

Thank you for keeping us all updated with this nightmare tenant!

Have you added this tenant to the database?

I will push this post out via social media to get the word out and then hopefully no other landlord in the West Sussex area will have to go through what you have had too.

We wish you all the best with dealing with this tenant.

I may well have taken on this couple, they were looking around the Steyning area... Gave them a 6 month AST and have just taken back the property to find clothing and bedding everywhere, needles and drug packs on the floor, rubbish left in kitchen, smoking, dog urine on carpet (a non-smoking, discuss a pet lease). Have now got to get rubbish removals in before I can even let the painter in as it's revolting!

That sounds like Fio** Wh*** - had an AST of 6 months left after 5 - signed over the deposit. I didn't giver her the month's rent back because of the time it has taken to clean and prepare the place. She's left £600 utlilty bills owing - regular supply of parking fines arrive.

Neighbours say she used it as a knocking shop!!!!

Shall be checking all references myself after this experience.

Hi Brenda

Is there an alert for this couple as I'm a landlord in Worthing and certainly don't want them here.  Administrator where can the names of these people be viewed.

Hi Skater,

If Brenda has uploaded these tenants onto the database then if they apply for a property with you and you reference them through our system their Tenant History will flag them up and put you in touch with Brenda, so please don't worry.

You can view all recent Tenant Alert uploads by logging in to the website and then going here: http://www.landlordreferencing.....nt-alerts/

Plus, when you signed up for our service you will have subscribed to your area for tenant alerts to be emailed to you. So if you get an email with a reference number in it, e.g. NATIONAL/ABC/020616, all you have to do to view it is:

  • LOGIN (CLICK)
  • Go to Tenant Alert Directory (CLICK)
  • THEN ENTER THE REFERENCE CODE INTO THE SEARCH BAR OF THE ALERT DIRECTORY TO VIEW IN FULL
(COPY AND PASTE CAN MAKE THIS PROCESS EXTREMELY EASY)

We also have a Daily Tenant Alert Digest pinned to the top of the discussion forum, see: http://www.landlordreferencing.....ferencing/

Please don't hesitate to get in touch again if you need further help or assistance.
