The Importance of Being Idle by Oasis.
'I sold my soul for the second time
Cos the man, he don't pay me
I begged my landlord for some more time
He said "Son, the bills waiting"
My best friend called me the other night
He said "Man, are you crazy?"
My girlfriend told me to get a life
She said "boy, you lazy"'
How about The Clash " Should I stay or should I go?"

We had a holiday gite in France once with an abundance of them in my kitchen
We found out when we discovered the hollow french baguette on the worktop.Just the outside crust was left
We could hear the baguette rocking fourth on the work top in the night and the mice were inside. eek!!
Oh the holiday memories, unforgettable
When we moved in the French landlord said that the radiators made noises and not to worry . It was really the mice running along the pipes! His advert said. "Ideal for UK holiday makers" hmmmm

But landlords and agents would go for, "If I were a rich man"
Well, I don't know if I'd call it a favourite song, but whenever I'm in a property on change-over and the bloody job won't die (you know what I mean!) there's a Kylie Minogue song that plays on the radio and it drives me nuts:
La la la la la la la la - la la la la la la la la La la la la la la la - la la la la la la la la
Why, oh why, didn't I think of writing those words or singing that song? There's clearly an easier way of making money than doing it as a landlord!!

I believe i read somewhere that several big Jazz Blues musicians made their living originally by playing at Harlem speak-easy, pay an entry fee, house parties, hosted by tenants needing to pay of Rent Arrears. I might get a trombone.

Bunks in a Garage seems to be an expanding market for enterprising sub-letters.

We do need a Mansion Tax -- unless such houses are turned into HMOs or HMPs Lol!
I had a neighbour a few years ago who had beer parties at her rented house to earn money.
It was like a night club every weekend. She used to invite the neighbours so there would not be any complaints
It was like this
Oh- i wish i was young again
for those days that landlords, tenants, stockbrokers, dads and moms get now and again
