Congratulations on the new website; it’s a huge improvement :-) However, I’m still a little puzzled by the fact that alerts are so strictly divided; with only a few who are known to operate in more than one area making it to national status. Before we had this marvellous service to assist us I had a tenant who had moved from Lancashire, robbed me blind, and then moved on out of the area again. Is it possible that you would consider making the search and notification national? We all know how canny and transient a lot of the determined defrauders are..!

Hi Barbara,

A member can select if they think an alert warrants being local or national, when we use to send them out to everyone and we got complaints that they had no interest in other areas.. a bit of damned if we do damned if we dont.  Laugh.

So we decided that we would send them out locally to people in the regions and nationally if asked but if you want to see all the other regions as a member you can go into all the other zones around you or even further afield and make a note of them, however when you search for a tenant it automatically searches nationally don't forget.

As well you can ask your data controler for you to be added to additional areas if you want alerts from that area but be warned we are sending out sometimes 2/3 a week to each region and that would mean you will get 36/50 emails alerts each week.

Kind regards

Paul R

aha… I hadn't realised that a search would examine the whole national database; that puts my mind at rest to be honest.  If we all upload details in our own area, landlords in all areas will be warned if they do a search before renting to someone… that's fine.

Thanks again Paul

Kind regards

Barbara

Your welcome. I have asked the teccies to change the sponsor links from being a bit pushy to a laid back and "help us if you want"  so I think that will make people more comfortable.
