Landlord VS Tenant | YOU DECIDE.

Landlord VS Tenant | YOU DECIDE.

Landlord Referencing Services have been approached by a tenant regarding ‘malicious and fraudulent’ information contained on the LRS website.

On Monday 4th February 2013 LRS received a telephone call followed by an email, requesting the removal of ‘malicious and fraudulent information’ contained in a post on the Landlord Referencing Community Forum.

Relevant post: Naming Your Tenant.

In an extract taken from the first email the tenant states:

‘It has come to my attention that malicious, fraudulent, offensive, damaging to my reputation information has been repeatedly posted on your website by a person called ‘Paul Barrett ( PaulBarrett, Memeber since 11/10/2011).

He calls me acomplete and utter wrongun’, claims that ‘ bitch took me for £12000’, et al.

Mr Barrett claims that my son is a criminal acting together with me.

Please note that I have never been Paul Barrett’s tenant or entered into any contracts with him.’

Landlord Referencing takes this kind of accusation extremely seriously, as we pride ourselves on providing correct and factual data as well as continuing to work within the guidelines of the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) and Data Protection.

So for the past week and a half LRS have been investigating the case and this is what we have found:

Paul Barrett Kensington & Chelsea Witness Statement

Eleonora Konodyba’s Passport

Eleanor Novi/Konodyba Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement

Paul Barrett Order for Possession

PB V EN | Chelmsford County Court

Deposit Protection Certificate

Novi/Konodyba Neighbour Letter

Paul Barrett Neighbour Letter

LRS would also advise having a look at these links:

Eleonora Konodyba V Kensington & Chelsea Royal London Borough Council (2012) EWCA Civ 982

Court Appearances in England and Wales

The easiest way to find information on this woman via the two links above is to:

  • Press Ctrl + F
  • Enter ‘ Konodyba ‘
  • Hit enter

Landlord Referencing Services is primarily here in order to protect landlords and letting agents from rogue tenants ripping them off.

Therefore we believe that the information that we have collected is extremely important to be aware of before letting out a property to this person. The above evidence is overwhelming, as well as many other documents we have (too many to add to the website, but freely available to anyone that requests them), therefore we do not deem the post Naming Your Tenant as either fraudulent or incorrect, so will not be removing it from the website.

Landlord Referencing Services will let you be the judge of this case.

And please remember to carry out a Lifestyle Tenant Reference Application if a tenant of either/similar name approaches you for a property, for future peace of mind.
