Can I use existing tenant references to take out your RGI policies?

Dear Samii

I currently get rent guarantee insurance through another company who I’ve recently found didn’t pay out on a claim. I want to carry on with RGI, so is it possible to use my existing referencing reports to take out one of your policies?

Samii says

Yes, we can indeed.

Insurance criteria (believe it or not) is usually less than our referencing standards and therefore cover is usually available even from the poorer letting agents.

The best thing to do is to ask your existing agent for a copy of your references or if you’ve done it yourself send them over to us so that we can confirm cover.

Plus, if you are transferring a large portfolio over to us we will consider discounts for those changing to us from other providers.
